Skeete Family Session- Manassas, VA Family Photographer

Kitara and I go WAY back and I mean WAY back.  Kitara was my tour guide when I had my first orientation at Longwood College.  So, in a way, she was the first person I met in college.  We were also in several organizations together.  Now, we've grown up and moved on and now has a loving husband and two beautiful children.  I believe, when I saw her yesterday, it was the first time since college graduation that we'd seen each other.  But thanks to social networking, we've been able to keep in touch.  I was so thrilled to take her family photos.  They were good sports as it was pretty cold outside yesterday.  We would duck into stores to warm up in between shots.  I hope the Skeete family loves these photos and I hope you, my faithful blog readers do as well.

 *What a beautiful family!

 *Stop the cuteness!

*I think this is my favorite family shot of the day.
 *OMG... look at those eyes!

Stephen and Krystina- Just Because Session- Manassas, VA Photographer

Stephen and I used to go to church together and have known each other for about a year and a half.  He's been overseas for a few months and was able to come home for a couple of weeks.  He contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me about taking photos of him and his lady.  We met up at the Manassas Battlefield on a beautiful Sunday.  We couldn't have asked for better weather (well it did get chillier as the sun set) or better light.  Krystina and Stephen are absolutely precious together and it was amazing to see them so happy! I actually had a REALLY hard time narrowing down my favorites to put on the blog, because there were so many.  I'm so glad I got to capture some very precious moments today and I hope they will be able to cherish them for years to come.

Photo Challenge- On Your Feet

It's that time again... photo challenge time over at i heart faces.  This week they have taken the focus off of human faces and on to feet.  The photo I'm choosing to enter is a photo of baby Regan.  I love this photo because you can see all the cute little newborn wrinkles on her feet and legs and I absolutely LOVE her mommy's wedding ring.  It's so unique!  Enjoy!

Warner Family Christmas Session- Warrenton Family Photographer

Well here we are... the Christmas season is upon us.  This is my absolute favorite time of the year.  Every year I make a promise to myself that I'm going to slow down and enjoy the season and every year I don't and it's gone in a flash.  I'm finding that happening again... since Thanksgiving I don't feel like I've stopped running.  I have remind myself it's ok to rest!  :)  Well today, I had the pleasure of doing a Christmas session for my long time friends.  You may remember their little boy from his toddler shoot back in the summer.  We headed out to Old Town Warrenton and enjoyed watching the Christmas parade as we explored places to take photos.  This is such a beautiful family and I'm so glad I got the chance to work with them again.  Enjoy these photos and take a moment to enjoy the joy of the holidays!

*This was his "cheese" face!  So adorable.
*I told him today, I don' think he could be any more precious... I mean seriously!

*He wanted to be watching the parade much more than taking pictures!  What a buzz kill!
*Love this one!!  As you can see, he's still trying to peek to check out the floats passing by.
