Doss Family Session- Gainesville Family Photographer

I wanted to wait a few days before posting another blog, but I'm going to be pretty busy for the rest of the week, so I'm going to go ahead and do it.  Sorry for the blog overload this week.

Along with the McLaughlin family, I also had the opportunity to photograph the Doss family this weekend.  Dana (mom) and I worked together for 4 years.  She was always a huge motivator for me and her office door was always open and I will forever appreciate that.

Dana, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to photograph and get to know your family a little better this weekend.  You are all such loving, caring people and not to mention an absolute gorgeous family!  Thank you for allowing me to capture some special moments!

McLaughlin Family Session- Manassas Virginia Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing two amazing families this weekend.  The first was the McLaughlin Family.  I have worked with Erin (mom) a couple of different times at different schools.  I actually remember when she had her oldest son.  BTW I can't believe I'm at the age when I look at kids and say... "I remember when you were born."  I actually pledged to never say that to a kid... FAIL!  I also pledged never to pinch a chubby kids cheeks, that I still stand by today!  But I digress.  I was brainstorming places we could do their photo shoot, so I threw out the idea of the Train Station in Old Town Manassas and she told me how much her son loved trains and how reflective that would be of her family.  I had so much fun with them and the kids were adorable and NOT camera shy which I loved!!  Thanks Erin for letting me photograph your family!  Hope to have the chance to do it again in the future.

Photo Challenge- Let them be little

The photo challenge over at i heart faces this week has a focus on the little ones.  The picture I have chosen I actually just took a week or so ago and the minute I saw it, it became one of my favorite images that I've taken.  You can just see the love and protection between a father and his little girl.

LBSS vs RSS

So this was my first attempt at taking fast action sports photos during a night game.  I'm not quite sure I'm cut out to be a sports photographer because I was sitting, waiting for the perfect composition and boom... just like that I miss the play.  I guess thats the artist in me!  Anyway, I had fun trying and will try an indoor sport later.

Photo Challenge- Tickled Pink

This week's photo challenge over at i heart faces is entitled tickled pink.  It goes along with Breast Cancer Awareness month, but the photos we enter don't have to be related to breast cancer, it just has to showcase the color pink.  The picture I'm chosing is one taken just a couple of weeks ago, during my friend Sarahs Maternity Session.  I love this photo because she looks so angelic and like she's dreaming of her dear little one.

Titus Family Session II- Northern Virginia Family Photographer

Today was part two of the Titus' Family Session.  We had beautiful weather and a beautiful backdrop.  It's funny, because I checked the weather before leaving the house and it said 45 degrees.  There is nothing in the world that I hate more than being cold, so I layered up and dressed like I was heading to the North Pole!  Yeah, walked outside, definitely not 45 degrees.  But anyway... I digress... I had as much fun today shooting the Titus family as I did a few weeks ago.  I hope everyone loves these photos are much as I do.
This is such a beautiful family!
I spotted a house on the hill while driving to our meeting place... yeah, it wasn't as close as it looked.  We should have packed a lunch!  But while walking I got this awesome shot!
The photo below could possibly be one of my most favorite shots of ALL TIME!

Grandpa walked around the corner of the house and he was just watching his beautiful grandbaby.  He didn't realize he was in the shot, but I LOVE the fact that he is.
 Running to grandpa!

 Proud grandpa!
 Such a cutie pie!!
This was her "CHEESE" face!  :)
